Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has called on residents to embrace collective responsibility in sustaining peace and unity across the state.
He made the appeal on Wednesday while receiving Joshua Selman, founder and senior pastor of Eternity Network International, also known as Koinonia Global, during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Jos. The visit followed recent attacks in parts of Plateau State.
As part of his outreach, Selman presented relief materials and financial support valued at over N200 million to assist victims affected by the violence.
Governor Mutfwang expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing the visit as a strong show of solidarity with the government and people of Plateau during a period of mourning.
He also commended the cleric’s impact, referring to him as “a prophet with honour in his hometown,” whose ministry has positively influenced many lives.
The governor further acknowledged members of the delegation, including former Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, John Kennedy, and Bestman Wadia, praising their contributions and ties to the state.
While lamenting the recent attacks, Mutfwang noted that government interventions have extended to both Christian and Muslim victims, underscoring the importance of unity, compassion, and shared humanity beyond religious differences.
